Training on RHD for Tole Health Promoter

Introduction:

 

With the joint effort of Nepal Heart Foundation (NHF) and Direct Aid Program, a one day Training of “Rheumatic Heart Disease: Challenges in Prevention: Training for Tole Health Promoters” in co-ordination with NHF, Lalitpur Branch was conducted in 18th December at Nepal Heart Foundation Building, Pulchowk, Lalitpur. All total of 39 THP participated from Lalitpur Sub Metropolitan City and incoridation with NHF Bhaktapur Branch was held on 19th December at Bageshwori HSS, Chaymasing, Bhaktapur. All total 50 THP participated from Bhaktapur Sub Metropolitan City in the program.

Objectives:

The main objective of this training program was:

 

1. To raise awareness to the Tole Health Promoters on the subject of the RHD prevention and control;

2. To ensure that the Tole Health Promoters are familiar with all technical aspect related to the primary prevention and control of RF/RHD;

3. To reach the awareness of RHD in grass root level.
